White nails are by far, according to Google, the most searched nail color in the USA. This information comes with no surprise, after all, a white canvas is the easiest background to let creativity roll. Also, milky and all-white nails gained huge popularity with the hype of the clean girl aesthetic. But the classic color is above any trends because it is the most versatile manicure option you can find. It pairs well with every color, even though America has a preference for pairing it with pink, black, gold, and blue. Finally, white nails’ real flex is their capacity to work for different moods and styles, from minimalist to glamorous, from summery to winter. So, in this post, you’ll find different designs for white nails, Christmas, weddings, modern black & white, romantic pink & white, edgy coffin nail art, cute designs, glam rhinestones, and so on.
Whether you prefer regular nail polish (me), acrylics, long-lasting gel, easy nail stripes and stickers, crafty nail art, practical press-on, coffin, short, square, or almond nails, white will be a good fit. It’s the perfect color for shy mani beginners or seasoned Kylies (girls, how do you do it? Respect).
White Nails With Design
There are so many options of designs for white nails that it’s borderline impossible not to find one that matches your mood and style. Therefore, here is some inspo going from simple white nail designs to more elaborate art.
Simple white nail designs work wonders if you prefer a discrete mani, but don’t want to go all white. Taken from the examples above, you can go to town and explore in different ways. A white base with a different tip is a classic. Nail stripes are the easiest way out and some rhinestones combined with nail art go a long way!
When the nail design is inspired by iconic Jimmy Choo shoes, you know it’s bridal material.

Black And White Nails Designs
Black & white is the most modern and neutral combination you can get if you wanna work with 2 colors. The classic duo is versatile and works wonders with every nail shape and length. And no matter how creative you get with your design, the black and white combination often looks more poised, even if you go for a fun cow or zebra print.
I love the effect of the black botanical against the milky background. The result is very elaborate for relatively little work. All you need is a good white milky nail polish and cool decals (in case you’re not mastering nail art skills).
I’m proud of my manicure skill since I’ve been doing my nails since I’m 12 yo. But mastering such a thin tip is next level. Of course, you can use a sticker to cheat and achieve these results.

White Nails On Toes
Wow, that’s a lot of white nails and I had to leave a lot more behind! When did you get your manicure awakening? I can tell that ever since I was a little child I was obsessed with nail shapes and colors. I remember observing my mom’s friends and my teacher’s nails from a very young age such as 5 yo. And I remember getting on my mom’s case to get me white nail polish by the time I was 11. My joy in putting that color on my nails is something that I can only fathom now, after years of therapy.
There was an aesthetic connected to that. It was about the image I wanted to portray flashing my white nails. I have no idea what such an image was, but I remember feeling powerful and fulfilled. I wish life would have gone as easy as getting fulfillment from my nail polishes! But on a more superficial but just as important level, for many of us, our nails are a way to express ourselves, our moods, and our aesthetics. And I love how easy it is to do so.
