Wraps are an amazing secular way to carry your baby from the newborn stage. Alongside with ring slings, they are more appropriate for infants with no neck control because you can work the fabric to adapt to yours and the baby’s body shape. Also, because the fabric is usually so long, it can be worn by almost any body type with no extra worries.
The point of attention is the fabric. You will find heavier sturdier wraps, who will support even twins safely. These fabrics are warmer, so if you live on the sunnier side, watch out! Also, you can find great lightweight fabrics, but they are less sturdier, meaning that they will support less weight.
For your baby safety and your back comfort, always respect the weight limits from the manufacturer!
Of course, there is a learning curve, like everything baby related. With this in mind, most brands have great videos, tutorials, hotlines, and all sorts of resources to help you navigate the process and become a confident wrap mom!

The reason is that they know the fabric, they make tests and it is in their best interest that you have a phenomenal baby wearing experience with their product!
Considerations about eco-friendly and organic wraps
Only a few reliable brands carry organic wraps. Usually, you will find one or a few limited colors in organic or non-toxic material. We double-check the information provided by the retailer with the manufacturer.
Therefore, it doesn’t mean that all the carriers of a certain brand are organic, as is the case with most organic clothes brands. So, stay aware once you go to the retailer website.
