This series of posts about coffee tables are inspired by my urge to convince my fiance that we need a coffee table. The problem is that nothing gets in the house unless we both love it. And for those who don’t know the tale, he thinks coffee tables are for old people because his dad had coffee tables! His dad was an ambassador and I don’t know how Embassies were decorated in the past, but it clearly got him traumatized! Since my fiance loves interior design and art (he went to college in France and lived in Europe for many years), I’m hoping that a modern coffee table with a stunning design will change his mind. Maybe he will see it as decor or even art and then I’ll have my so desired Noguchi. I have an agenda!
